This position is responsible for internal and external recruiting.

Job Responsibilities:

• Meets with managers to develop specific recruiting plans
• Recruits for management, technical, and non-management positions (Provides information on company operations and job opportunities to potential applicants. Screens and refers qualified applicants to hiring manager for interviewing. Provides initial screening for manager to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements.)
• Makes hiring decisions for entry-level positions if line management is not available to participate in hiring process
• Develops and maintains professional relationships with college, university and community college placement offices as a source to generate qualified applicants
• Schedules and attends job/career fairs with appropriate staff
• Directs the efforts of employment agencies and search firms
• Participates on cross-function HR teams, including travel to other sites to assist with recruitment if necessary
• Ensures that pre-employment background checks & drug screening are completed prior to hire
• Follows recruitment and hiring standard operating procedures (SOPs), as well as any other human resource SOPs
• Conducts new hire orientation
• Coordinates advertising and direct mail recruiting campaigns
• Ensures all legal and contract requirements with respect to employment are observed to include compliance with state and federal regulations concerning employment
• Maintains records on recruiting activities and recruitment related correspondence as required (ex. applicant tracking (online), job folders, and AAP log, daily/weekly/month staffing reports updated with accurate information, etc.)
• Researches, analyzes, prepares and presents hiring and statistics
• Develops and conducts training programs for managers designed to improve recruiting and hiring efficiencies and reduce turnover
• Participates in development of annual recruiting budget
• Ensure that pre-employment background checks & drug screening are completed prior to hire
• All other duties as assigned
Qualifications: Skills and Minimum Qualifications:

• Human Resource related degree preferred or equivalent work experience
• Outstanding PC skills (MS Office – Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Good organizational skills, including strong verbal and written communication; ability to professionally convey messages to internal and external sources and to represent Medco at public functions
• Working knowledge of successful recruiting and sourcing techniques
• Ability to adjust recruiting based on recruiting trends and market changes
• Ability to complete high-volume recruitment of multiple positions at same time
• Ability to lead and direct other team members and line operations members through the recruiting process and specific recruiting projects and events
